Just about everything you would want to know about Wilson|Mason and the charities benefitting from this recording!
About Allison:
Allison Wilson has been singing solos since the age of 4 when a church pianist asked a very frightened little girl to sing in front of the congregation. That little bit of trepidation has never gone away over the years as she has performed in large choirs, intimate praise teams or solos of all types. Music has been a part of her life from as far back as she can remember, including 6 years of playing snare drum in a Jr. drum and bugle corps and high school band where she met her husband of over 20 years. Genres as eclectic as southern and classic rock to Chopin with everything in between have influenced her over the years. A strong faith in Jesus Christ is the primary driving force in her love of music, though, and praise music is her favorite. Three wonderful children, a puppy and a cat round out the household of laughter and music.
About the Freedom Center:
As a ministry of Lifepoint Church of Palm Bay and in conjunction with Caring for the Heart (a ministry committed to providing counseling and resources that are Biblically based for couples and individuals giving them the tools to resolve their marital and personal problems), the Freedom Center intends to help build stronger families in our community.
About Jennifer:
Jennifer Mason fell in love with the piano at her first lesson at the ripe old age of 13. Since that day, she has been playing notes and marveling at the fact that God never seemed to count starting about a decade too late against her. Thanks to her amazing and godly teachers, she developed a heart for using music in worship; and, thanks to her favorite pianist Jim Brickman, she likes to think outside the box when she does so. Her love of piano was, ahem, instrumental in meeting her husband Jon, whom she serves with in music ministry at First Baptist Melbourne, Florida. During their marriage, God has opened the door for them to play classical and sacred duets together, even taking their music on mission in Romania. She has also recorded an instrumental CD of great hymns of the faith, New Creation: Timeless Hymns in Contemporary Settings, and dreams of a day where she masters time management enough to piece together a second album. Together, Jon and Jennifer are hoping to pass down their love of music, missions, and cheesy humor to their son Brody.
About Micah 6:8
The Micah 6:8 Project is a multi-faceted ministry of First Baptist Melbourne dedicated to families. Currently in its early stages, the Micah 6:8 house will serve as a refuge to keep homeless families together as they get back on their feet. Additional space is being used as a branch office of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, to encourage God’s people to gain God’s heart for fostering and adoptive parenting. The Micah 6:8 Project aims to influence the surrounding communities with the practical love demonstrated by Jesus in the Gospels, and, in the process, point them to the Savior Who has adopted us into His family.
